Description
The Spiddal Bread Basket is where my journey into basket weaving first began. Inspired by time spent learning from traditional basket maker Ciarán Hogan Baskets in Spiddal, this piece reflects a deep appreciation for the quiet rhythm of handcraft and the heritage of Irish basket making. Woven slowly by hand in Connemara, the basket is designed for everyday use at the table — for bread, fruit, or sharing food with family and friends. Rooted in tradition yet made to be lived with today, each basket carries its own character, shaped by the weaving process and the landscape that continues to inspire my work.
